With the Institute of the Americas 25th anniversary celebration just seven weeks away, new speakers have been added to an already impressive list for a Nov. 15 conference on Latin America: The Next 25 Years. Harvard academics Ricardo Hausmann and Ana Julia Jatar and Stanford’s Alberto Diaz-Cayeros will join Mexican ambassador to the US Arturo Sarukhan, former UN Security Council President Diego Arria, former White House envoy Mack McLarty and others for a thought-provoking journey into the future. On that evening, former President Ernesto Zedillo will keynote a gala anniversary dinner.

On November 13-14, the 11th InfoCom Americas Conference will bring together policy makers, analysts and corporate executives for discussions on governance, technology trends and creative leadership in telecommunications and informatics in the hemisphere. The aim is to anticipate opportunities and challenges presented by service convergence and new technologies and to examine how those trends will affect business strategies and regulatory decisions.
