Since its inception in 1970, the Department of Women’s Studies at SDSU has been enriched through its community-based partners and grass-roots collaborations. «Bridging the academy and the community»  is a fundamental principle of the original activists who established Women’s Studies on our campus and nationally as well. We continue to honor this vital commitment to creating social change in the daily    lives of women in our communities. The speakers on today’s panel represent several of the organizations with whom we collaborate.
