Bicentenarte POP is an innovative art project created by Mexican artist Elena Sacal and her son Alexander J. Brucilovsky, who sought ways to change Mexico’s colors through the illustrations of its historical characters. This work seeks to awaken public interest in the most important celebration of 2010: the Bicentennial of the Mexican Independence. It does so through symbols, fun facts, and important locations, all presented through POP art. An original and artistic way of bringing culture and history beyond books, and into the present.

The exhibit will be on display until December 22nd 2010, and we welcome you to visit us to see it at anytime.

Please RSVP to usmex@ucsd.edu.

There is no cost of admission. Event is open to the public. For driving directions, please click here. For additional information, call Mr. Greg Mallinger at (858) 822-1696 or e-mail.
