President Dilma Rousseff, Brazil’s first female chief executive, has inherited a tough job from her predecessors. She must consolidate Brazil’s economic growth by developing a sustainable path to prosperity for millions of Brazilians while building on the country’s global influence and its position as the sixth largest economy in the world. Paulo Sotero, a member of the Institute’s board, directs the Brazil Institute in the Latin American Program of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.Read more.
