The Institute of the Americas and the Institute of Latin American Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences will host an international conference in Beijing on the evolving energy relationship between China and countries in the Americas. The conference will focus on several critical issues, including Chinese oil policy, climate change, and alternative energy. During the afternoon session, panel discussions will explore energy relationships between China and three key oil producers – Brazil, Venezuela and Argentina. The conference is open to the public, but registration is requested.
