On July 1, 2012, after six years under President Felipe Calderón, Mexico held elections at the national level and in 14 states. The victory by Enrique Peña Nieto and the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) marks the return of the party to the presidency after 12 years. The campaign also highlighted the new role of social media in campaigns which helped foment the #Soy132 movement. The panelists will provide their unique perspectives on the elections as well as the implications for domestic politics and U.S.-Mexican relations.
