[TBI] The New Criminal Justice System in Mexico

martes 12 de junio de 2012 por Luis (Coordinación de Sistemas)

On behalf of the Trans-Border Institute’s Justice in Mexico Project we would like to extend an invitation for a presentation of our recently published monograph «La reforma al sistema de justicia penal en México,» which will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice Room A/B.

The monograph analyzes the 2008 Constitutional reform that required all Mexican states to adopt an accusatorial criminal justice system, which is currently being implemented throughout the country. Experts and academics from different regions in Mexico that collaborated in the book will be commenting on different topics regarding the reform.

This publication was made possible thanks to the generous funding from U.S. Agency for International Development and Higher Education for Development for the three-year Legal Education Program carried out by a partnership with the Trans-Border Institute, USD School of Law, and Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Mexicali.

We hope that you will be able to join us for what will be a constructive and informative dialogue.  Please confirm your attendance at transborder@sandiego.edu or (619)260-4148 by June 13, 2012.
