| An inter-disciplinary panel will discuss on the experience of young people (legally, economically, psychologically, educationally) as they go from «undocumented» to having grants of deferred action/work permits/driver’s licenses for the first time. Many young people who had dropped out of high school or left college without a degree are re-enrolling both to qualify for DACA, but also because they feel motivated, re-energized, and excited about the future for the first time in years. Part of the discussion will touch on what the process of «becoming legal» means — to an individual, to a family, to a community, and to greater society.Please RSVP for this event. |
