Matthew Ingram is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science and law degree from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Ingram has written papers including «Trends in Multi-Method Research: Sailing Ahead, Reckoning with Old Risks and New,» «Peace by Design: Institutional Choices and the Risk of Armed Conflict in Democracies,» and «Rule of Law and Democracy: Conceptual and Causal Issues from a Comparative Perspective.» His comparative and interdisciplinary research in politics and law seeks a better understanding of the sources of strong institutions, state building, and democracy.
